Supermetrics data sources use APIs to query the data, and some APIs have a fixed time zone. This means that you can see slight discrepancies in the results if your time zone differs from the API time zone.
With most Supermetrics products, it’s possible to adjust the product and/or query time zone to match the API time zone to offset the difference. Note that if you adjust the time zone on query level, that will override the file time zone.
Data source connectors with fixed time zones
The following table lists the connectors that have APIs with fixed time zones.

Setting the time zone
Note
- In Google Sheets and Excel, you can change the time zone on the query level as well as on product level.
- It’s not possible to change the time zone on the product or query level for Looker Studio or data warehouse destinations unless the connector has a separate time zone setting. If the connector has a separate time zone setting, you can change the time zone on connector level in Looker Studio, and on transfer level on data warehouse products.
- For Query Manager (Supermetrics API) and Power BI, it’s only possible to change the time zone on the query level.
Set time zone on query level
When creating or editing a query, navigate to Options in the sidebar, and add the time zone in the format timezone_<nameOfTimeZone> in the Advanced settings text box. For example, timezone_Europe/Helsinki, timezone_America/New_York, or timezone_Asia/Singapore. You can find a list of time zone names here.
Note that some connectors, such as Shopify, have separate time zone settings. This is the exact same setting as the advanced setting timezone_<nameOfTimeZone> but in the form of a dropdown menu.

Set time zone on product level
Setting the time zone on product level sets the time zone for all queries in the file.
- Google Sheets: In the Google Sheets file, select File → Settings → Timezone.
- Excel: Go to the SupermetricsQueries tab and change the name of the time zone in cell I4. You can find a list of time zone names here.
