Facebook Public Data connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Facebook Public Data data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.

Required permissions

The Facebook Public Data data source connector doesn't require authentication or connection to Facebook.

To query data, you need the Facebook Page's alias. The alias is the name that follows the www.facebook.com/ address. For example, for www.facebook.com/Supermetrics, the alias is 'Supermetrics'.

Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

  • Facebook Page data: Page data, including Likes, About, and the website link.
  • Facebook posts by a Page: Information on posts made to the Page, such as Post link, Reaction counts, and Comment counts.
  • Facebook shares for URLs: Data about specific shared URLs, like URL, Share count, and Comment count.
