How to fix the “Confirm logout: Cannot execute query” error

On the Supermetrics Hub data sources view, you might encounter the following error when attempting to log out of a data source: Confirm logout: Cannot execute query

This error is caused by an attempt to log out a token that is still in use in an active data transfer. The system halts the logout to prevent a login's accidental deletion, which would cause the associated active transfer to fail.

Instructions

To log out a token, you first need to delete any associated transfers.

Data warehouse and cloud storage
  1. Log in to the Hub.
  2. In the sidebar, go to Storage  Transfers.
  3. For the transfer that is associated with the token and data source, open the Action menu and click Delete.

If you're planning on creating the transfer again, be sure to make a note of its settings (name, destination dataset, and so on) before deleting it, so you can easily create a new identical transfer.

BigQuery (marketplace)
  1. Log in to the Google Cloud Platform.
  2. Navigate to BigQuery Data transfers.
  3. Find and click on the transfer that is associated with the token and data source.
  4. On the transfer details page, click Delete in the top right corner.

If you're planning on creating the transfer again, be sure to make a note of its settings (name, destination dataset, and so on) before deleting it, so you can easily create a new identical transfer.

Once you have deleted the associated transfer, go to the Data source page on the Hub (select Data sources in the sidebar). You should now be able to log out from the data source.

If you want to reconfigure the transfer, see our guides for creating a transfer to BigQuery (marketplace) or other data warehouse and cloud storage destinations.
