Branch connection guide

This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Branch data to Supermetrics.

You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.

After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.

Required permissions

To connect Supermetrics to your Branch account, you'll need a Branch key and secret. Get the key and key secret from Branch Dashboard → Account Settings → Profile.

To access the Query API, you need to have both Aggregate Data and Export access. Learn more about the Query API in Branch help.

Query types

Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:

Summary (total): Get the raw organic data for app analytics from the Branch summary dashboard.
Summary (unique): Get the unique data for app analytics from the Branch summary dashboard.

Connection instructions

When connecting to Branch, you need to provide your Branch key and secret.

Select the Branch data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
Enter your Branch key and secret.
Give your login a name to recognize the login later in case you have multiple logins.
If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
Click Start.
In your data destination, select the query type to use.
