This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your BigCommerce data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
To pull data from BigCommerce using Supermetrics, you need a BigCommerce account.
In addition, you need:
- Your BigCommerce store hash. The store hash is in the URL of your BigCommerce shop (usually comes right after the https://store-).
- A BigCommerce API token. This can be created in BigCommerce under Settings → API → Store-level API accounts.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data.
- Orders: Retrieve detailed insights on your BigCommerce shop orders.
- Order Items: Retrieve detailed insights on your Bigcommerce ordered products.
Connection instructions
When connecting to BigCommerce, you need to provide your BigCommerce store hash and API token and select the account to use when prompted.
- Select the BigCommerce data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- Enter your store hash.
- Enter your BigCommerce API token.
- Give a name for your login.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- In your data destination, select the account to pull data from and a query type, if prompted.
