Use this guide to connect your CallRail data to Supermetrics, and start adding it to your reporting.

Before you begin
To connect Supermetrics to CallRail, you need:
- An API key. Follow these instructions in CallRail’s documentation to create your key.
- The Admin, Manager, or Reporting user role level for each business account. Learn more about user roles and user management.
Query types
- Returns data on calls and leads acquired through calls. Find metrics like the number of calls, answer rate, call duration, lead amount, and lead value.
- Gathers data about call insights by splitting the data by time, call source, number, or agent. This can help with resource planning and identifying the best-performing agents.
- Gathers data on a specific call and fetches direct links to recordings.
- Returns data on form submissions and leads acquired through forms. Find metrics like the number of form submissions, lead amount, and lead value.
- Gathers lead insights by splitting the data by time or by source. You can also fetch all form submission data to dig into specific answers.
Instructions
Make sure you've installed the Supermetrics add-on before you connect.
- Open a new Google Sheets file.
- Navigate to Extensions → Supermetrics → Launch sidebar to open Supermetrics.
- Click Create new query.
- Under Data source, select CallRail.
- Enter your API key, and click Start.
- Select the accounts you'd like to include in your reporting.
- Navigate to Report configuration.
- Select a query type to use in your report.

Make sure you've connected Supermetrics to Looker Studio before following the steps below.
- Open the Supermetrics Looker Studio data source gallery.
- Navigate to CallRail and click Start free trial.
- You'll see two buttons that read Authorize. If you're using Supermetrics for the first time, click the left-hand one and log in with the Google Account you use with Supermetrics.
- Once that's done, or if you've done it before, click the right-hand Authorize button (under "CallRail requires authorization to connect to data").
- Select a team that has access to the account you want to connect.
- Choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- Enter your API key, and click Start.
- Select a query type to use in your report.
- Select the accounts you'd like to include in your reporting.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page. To create a report with our template, select Use report template for new reports. To create a blank report, deselect this option.
- In the pane's top right, click Connect.
- Click Create report.
- Click Add to report.
