Let us know
Enhanced scheduled refreshes are still in development — please contact our support team before activating the feature in Supermetrics.
Enhanced scheduled refreshes — also known as hybrid triggers — offer increased reliability for Supermetrics scheduled refreshes in Google Sheets.
Unlike regular scheduled refreshes, which rely on Google, the processes that power enhanced scheduled refreshes run in Supermetrics itself. This offers increased reliability, more runtime per query, and improved retry logic.
If you’re already using scheduled refreshes in your reporting, enabling enhanced scheduled refreshes is something you only need to do once. Once it’s done, the improvements will be applied across all of your existing scheduled refreshes.
Before you begin
This feature is in public beta. It’s available to all users with a paid license.
Hybrid triggers need the same access rights to your files as the Supermetrics Add-in itself. Having this access means that the triggers can automatically update the spreadsheets running Supermetrics queries.
Enable enhanced refreshes
- Open the Supermetrics sidebar.
- Open the Schedule tab.
- Scroll down to Enable enhanced scheduled refreshes.
- Log in with the Google Account you use with Supermetrics.
- Review the permissions. Check each box — if any are left blank, the enhanced scheduled refreshes will fail.
If you've already given Supermetrics the permissions it needs, you'll instead see a message that says "Supermetrics already has some access".
- Click Allow to continue. Or, if you've already given Supermetrics access, click Continue.
- Close the confirmation window.
Disable enhanced refreshes
If you want to disable this feature at any time, launch the Supermetrics sidebar with the account you used to enable enhanced scheduled refreshes. In the Schedule tab, select Disable enhanced scheduled refreshes. This will revert all of your scheduled reports to the standard refresh feature.
