Query types for this data source
When connecting to the Yelp Reviews data source, you need to select a query type. The query type defines what sort of metrics and dimensions are available.
- Reviews: Get data for up to 100 of the most recent reviews.

See ratings and review content
Explore the ratings and reviews along with the review date, text, and link to the review.
For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.
- Select the Date, Rating, Text, and Link to review dimensions.
See average rating
Keep track of the average rating. We also include the number of reviews in the data.
The "Average rating" metric shows the average rating of the reviews.
The "Number of reviews" metric shows the number of reviews.

See monthly average ratings
Take a look at how your average rating has evolved over time. In this example, we take a look at the data at the monthly level.
The "Average rating" metric shows the average rating of the reviews.

- Select the Average rating and Number of reviews metrics.
- Select the Year & Month dimension to split the query results by year and month.
