Klaviyo report building guide

Use our Klaviyo data source connector to create an overview dashboard to follow the complete customer journey in e-commerce. You can also create a report to follow up on seasonal changes in purchase volumes and campaign success.

See the following use cases for examples on how to use the metrics and dimensions.


See number of list subscribers

Take a look at how your list subscribers count has evolved over time. In this example, we collect the data from the past 28 days and split it by date.


The "New subscriptions to list" metric shows the number of times when someone opts into a list.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Last 28 days.
  2. Select the New subscriptions to list metric.
  3. Select the Date and List dimensions to split the query results by date and list name.


See email receives and opens

View data on how many emails your recipients have received and how many they have opened.


The "Emails received" metric shows the number of times when a recipient receives an email. The "Emails opened (unique)" metric shows the number of recipients that opened an email.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Last week (Mon-Sun).
  2. Select the Emails received and Emails opened (unique) metrics.
  3. Select the Date dimension to split the query results by date.


See data on your email campaigns

Get a wide view of your email campaign success as well as the value of placed orders, including email bounces, clicks, opens, and unsubscribes, along with Woocommerce order data.


The "Emails bounced" metric shows the number of times when an email soft or hard bounced. The "Email click rate" metric shows the unique email clicks divided by received emails. 

The "Emails clicked (unique)" metric shows the number of recipients that clicked an email. 

The "Email open rate" metric shows the unique email opens divided by received emails. 

The "Emails opened (unique)" metric shows the number of recipients that opened an email. 

The "Email recipients" metric shows the number of recipients the email was sent to. 

The "Unsubscribes from all emails" metric shows the number of times when someone unsubscribes from emails globally.


For the placed order value, the "Woocommerce orders" metric shows the number of times a customer completes the checkout process and creates an order in your Woocommerce store, and the "Woocommerce order value" metric shows the total value of the placed order, inclusive of shipping and any applied discounts.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the table chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Last month.
  2. Select the Emails bounced, Email click rate, Emails clicked (unique), Email open rate, Emails opened (unique), Email recipients, Unsubscribes from all emails, Woocommerce orders, and Woocommerce order value metrics.
  3. Select the Campaign send date & time, Content status, and Subject dimensions to split the query results by campaign details.


See new list subscribers

Take a look at how your subscriber count has evolved over time. In this example, we take a look at the data for the year and compare it to the previous year.


The "New subscriptions to list" metric shows the number of times when someone opts in to a list.


For best results in Looker Studio, use the time series chart type.

  1. Set the date range to Year to date.
  2. Select the New subscriptions to list metric.
  3. Select the Month dimension to split the query results by month.
  4. Set the Comparison date range to Previous period.
