Clockify: Authentication and reauthentication guide

This guide will walk you through how to authenticate or reauthenticate Clockify with Google Sheets, Data Studio, and Excel.

To connect Supermetrics to Clockify, you need:

With Clockify, you can:

  • Track time spent (duration) for different tasks by time entries.
  • Track cost/billable amount for different projects.
  • Fetch data by time, by user, by client, or by project.
  • Fetch billable and non-billable hours separately, and see what is the effective billing rate across your employees and projects.
  • See how actual hours and costs compare to budgeted costs and time estimates.

Google Sheets Data Studio  Excel Data integrations
Before you can authenticate the data source in Google Sheets, you need to install the Supermetrics add-on.
  1. Open a new Google Sheets file. 
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsSupermetricsLaunch to open the Supermetrics sidebar.
  3. Under Data source, select Clockify.
  4. Enter your Account name and API key and click Start.
  5. Under Select accounts, select the accounts.
