Pinterest Ads report building guide

Pull your basic ad metrics from Pinterest and use your data to better optimize future content needs. Combine Pinterest Ads data to other visual social media channels such as Instagram to see the similarities and differences in campaign success.

For a full list of metrics and dimensions available in our Pinterest Ads data source connector, take a look at our Pinterest Ads documentation.

Once you’ve connected to Pinterest Ads, you’re ready to create your first query in Google Sheets, Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), or Excel.

Try these queries

See the following use cases for examples on how to set up queries.

You can adjust the conversion date and attribution window for conversions in the data source connection options. Learn more about the attribution window in Pinterest Ads.

See cost, conversions, and conversion value

Take a look at how your promoted Pins have affected your conversions over time, in this example for last month.

The “Cost” metric shows the money you spent for promoted Pins, in the currency of the advertiser. The “Conversions (Checkout)” metric shows the total number of checkout events that resulted from interactions with your ad, and the “Conversions Value (Checkout)” metric shows the total value of checkout events resulting from interactions with your ad.

  2. Select the ROAS (Checkout) metric.
  3. Set the Comparison date range to Previous period.

See impressions of your Pins
