Data Studio offers a data blending feature that can be used to connect and combine data. Using join keys, data from several sources can be used in the same chart.
Data blending is a built-in feature in Data Studio. We recommend you first familiarize yourself with Google’s guide on data blending. To get started, see this guide about creating a chart with blended data.
There are some limitations to the data blending feature.
- A blended data source can combine a maximum of 5 data sources.
- Blended data sources can only be used in the report they were created in.
- Blended data sources support chart-specific calculated fields, but not data source calculated fields.
- A blended data source is the product of a left outer join operation, which limits the way data can be blended. Please note that this may also affect the order in which data sources should be added to the blended data source.
If you have any issues with blending data, please seek further instructions primarily from the Data Studio help center. As data blending is a built-in feature in Data Studio, Supermetrics support can only offer limited help for troubleshooting.
