Awin: Authentication and reauthentication guide

This guide will walk you through how to authenticate or reauthenticate Awin with Google Sheets, Data Studio, and Excel.

To connect Supermetrics to Awin, you need:

With Awin, you can:

  • Fetch all your affiliate marketing metrics.
  • Check which publishers are making the biggest impact and which advertisers are bringing in the most revenue by referrals.

Query types

  • Publisher report - shows the performance like impressions and transactions per advertiser. 
  • Creative report - helps to analyze these split by publisher.

Google Sheets Data Studio  Excel Data integrations
Before you can authenticate the data source in Google Sheets, you need to install the Supermetrics add-on.
  1. Open a new Google Sheets file. 
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsSupermetricsLaunch to open the Supermetrics sidebar.
  3. Under Data source, select Awin.
  4. Enter your account name and API key and click Start.
  5. Under Select accounts, select the accounts.
  6. Navigate to Report configuration.
  7. Under Select query type, select the query type.
  8. Depending on the query type you choose, there will be additional filters (Timezone, Date type, Region).
