On June 29, 2023, we will be adding authentication to the Reddit Public Data data source. This is due to Reddit's API policy changes that take affect at the beginning of July. To maintain our rate limits, we must have users log in with a valid Reddit account.
What you need to do
On or after June 29, you will need to go through the initial authentication process with the Reddit Public Data data source using these updated instructions. Queries will start to fail on July 1st if the the login process with a valid Reddit account has not been completed.
To keep existing queries running with the new login, follow the steps here to replace your old Reddit Public Data connection to use the new login.
