Apple Public Data connection guide

This guide will walk you through how to authenticate Apple Public Data with Google Sheets, Data Studio, and Microsoft Excel.

Instructions

Google Sheets Data Studio  Excel

Before you can authenticate the data source in Google Sheets, you need to install the Supermetrics add-on.

  1. Open a new Google Sheets file.
  2. Navigate to ExtensionsSupermetricsLaunch to open the Supermetrics sidebar.
  3. Click Create query.
  4. Under Data source, select Apple Public Data.
  5. Navigate to Report configuration.
  6. Under Query type, select the query type.
  7. Insert Keyword(s) or App ID(s) for searching apps. To select different apps, separate each one with commas.
  8. Select App Store country.
  9. Select the Platform (such as iPhone or Mac) and Maximum results per search term.
