This guide contains all permissions and requirements for connecting your Reddit Public Data data to Supermetrics.
You can connect to data sources from the Data sources page on the Supermetrics Hub. On the Hub, you can also share an authentication link to connect to a data source you don't have direct access to.
After you connect to the data source on the Hub, you can use the data source connection in all available destinations.
Required permissions
Reddit Public Data allows you to collect publicly available data about Reddit posts. A valid Reddit login is required.
Query types
Query types define what sort of metrics and dimensions are available. You need to select one of the following query types when pulling data:
- Reddit user data: Fetches the user metadata for an account.
- Reddit subreddit data: Fetches a subreddit's metadata.
- Reddit posts: Fetches post details for a keyword.
Connection instructions
When connecting to Reddit Public Data, you need to log in to Reddit and enter the query details when prompted.
- Select the Reddit Public Data data source on the Supermetrics Hub or in the data destination.
- If prompted, choose to make this connection shared or private.
- Click Start.
- Enter your account details, and click Continue.
- Click Allow to accept the requested permissions.
- In your data destination, select your query type, and then add the keywords, usernames, or other data you want to query.
