In order for Supermetrics Uploader to work properly, you’ll need to create a custom data source for your Google Analytics web property.
Without this, you might encounter this error message:
- No custom data sources found
You'll need Admin-level access right to the Google Analytics web property you want to use with Uploader to complete these steps.
Instructions
- Log in to Google Analytics.
- Click the cog icon in the lower left corner to open the admin panel.
- Select the Account and then the Web property that you want to create a custom data source for.
- Click Data import.
- Click Create.
- Under Summary Data Import, select Cost data.
- Click Continue.
- Give the dataset a name, and choose Google Analytics Views to link to the custom data source.
- Click Continue.
- Select any fields you want in Data set schema and Import behavior — Uploader will override these settings.
- Click Save, and then click Done.
Your new custom data source will now be available in Uploader. From there, configure the upload using it.
Once the new upload has been saved and has had a chance to run (usually within 24 hours after saving), you should see the data under the Acquisition → Campaigns → Cost Analysis section of the Google Analytics interface for the selected web property.
